Getting to Cozumel
Cozumel is a small Island close to Cancun and the Rivera Maya Mexican beaches.
There are primarily two ways to arrive, as described below:
By Plane
If you wish to travel directly to Cozumel, we recommend booking a flight with one of the airlines that operate from nearby airports in Mexico (Cancun, Monterrey, Mexico City, etc.) and the United States (Denver, Miami, Houston, etc.), as Cozumel has a small but convenient airport for direct flights.
By Ferry
The other option is to travel to Cancun City, the Riviera Maya or Playa del Carmen first, where you may decide to stay there for a few days.
From there, you can take the ADO Bus to Playa del Carmen, followed by a ferry to Cozumel. Ferries to Cozumel run hourly with Ultramar Ferries.
You may also want to go first to Cozumel via plane and then cross by ferry to stay a while longer!
